Our New Chief Mother Earth Grew up with Her Father, Chief Joseph in Charlotte NC Wilmore Area Dilehay Courts and Greenville . Her Father Nickname her White Buffalo Calf Woman as she was growing up. She never knew the meaning of her nickname until marrying a Navy Seal when she moved to Matthews NC. She then moved to San Diego CA where she found other loss members of her tribe that took her into Tijuana Mexico where she meet a Medicine Man that gave her a Sacred Pipe that carried the wisdom of the Sugaree Tribal Elders. He told her that she was the Goddess of Beauty, Love and Prayer. This is how her 20 years of research started to bring back the Sugaree Tribal Nation to their Sacred Land and Rights that was wrongfully stolen from them.
Sugaree Tribal Nation, we are committed to helping loss Tribal Elders From Tribal wars between 1700-1800 Find their Lineage. The Sugaree Tribal Nation traces its roots back to the Sugeree people, whose name originated from the Indian word for "group of huts". Though the tribe faced challenges during the Yamasee and Tuscarora Wars, they have persevered and continue to honor their cultural heritage under the New leadership of Chief Mother Earth (Born White Buffalo Calf Woman). Her father was born on Sugaree Tribal Indian Reservation. As an Indian Tribe Government the Sugaree Tribal Nation is dedicated to educating the community about their rich history and traditions.
During the Battle of Charlotte in the American Revolutionary War, as William Richardson Davie's forces withdrew from Charlotte on 26 September 1780, captain Joseph Graham was wounded at Sugaw Creek but survived and went on to fight again at the Battle of Cowan's Ford.
Sugar Creek, also called Sugaw Creek, is a small tributary of the Catawba River in Northand South Carolina in the United States that drains the central portion of Charlotte, North Carolina, including Uptown Charlotte. Its takes its name from a Native American (probably Catawba word sugaw said to mean "collection of huts" (compare Catawba suk, "house"), which was anglicized Sugar in the name of the street which runs by the creek (Sugar Creek Road) and Sugaw in the name of Sugaw Creek Park and the Presbyterian church located by it.
The Battle of Charlotte was an American Revolutionary War battle fought in Charlotte, North Carolina on September 26, 1780. The battle took place at the Mecklenburg County Court House; which is now the site of the Bank of America tower at Trade and Tryon Streets in uptown Charlotte. An advance guard of General Charles Cornwallis' army rode into town and encountered a well-prepared Patriot militia under the command of William R. Daviein front of the court house. A skirmish ensued in which George Hanger, leading the British cavalry, was wounded. The small Patriot force, which had not intended more than token resistance, withdrew north toward Salisbury upon the arrival of Cornwallis and the main army.
